Last Hit

Play identical cards in batches. Recognise the hit and leave them on the pile. Miss it and take the whole pile.

Empty your hand after the draw pile runs out.

Be the first to empty your hand after the draw pile runs out. Everyone starts with ten challenge cards. Choose a title, artist, decade or a year question with a clue.

Play one card or a batch of completely identical cards. One song and one answer for the entire batch. Correct — leave the cards on the table. Wrong or out of time — take the whole pile, including your batch.

After every turn, hands below ten refill while stock remains. Hands above ten do not draw. After the deck runs out, the first successful last-card play wins.

Choose 100, 200 or 300 cards; a bigger deck means a longer game. Everyone needs their own device, with shared audio or sound on each device.

Twelve kinds of challenge

Title, artist and decade without clues; title or artist with a decade or year; title with the artist revealed; artist with the title revealed; year within ±1 with a known decade; year within ±3 with the artist or title revealed. Title, artist and decade questions have four choices. Type year answers yourself. The ±1 tolerance also applies across decade boundaries.

Play in batches

Both the task and its stated period must match. “Title · 1970s” and “Title · 1980s” are different cards. Choose how many identical cards to play. A bigger hand can help you make bigger batches.

Your turn

You have 30 seconds to choose cards. Everyone then hears 15 or 30 seconds of music, with another 10 seconds to answer. Only the active player answers; others see the challenge and can react afterward. The next turn starts automatically after a five-second result. Running out of time to select cards has no penalty.

Dealing and drawing

The chosen deck size includes starting hands. Up to ten players can join. When stock is low, draw one card per player in turn, starting with the active player. New players may enter an ongoing game only while at least ten cards remain in stock.

Away and connection problems

Away players are skipped. A technical audio failure returns the played batch without a pile penalty or an accuracy miss. Returning players keep their hands. Failing to answer after successful playback means taking the pile.

After the last hit

The first successful last-card play with an empty draw pile wins. Others are ranked by cards remaining: fewer is better. Share your result and arrange a rematch in chat, available for five more minutes. Accuracy is shared across all three games. A win without wrong answers earns “Clean sweep”. Played songs stay in the room’s history; when the songs for a chosen challenge run out, those songs are shuffled again.
